Required Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with protocol analysis and network traffic analysis.

- Strong Networking background; TCP/IP, Cisco Firewalls, Switching, Routing

- General Linux/Unix and Windows system administration skills

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of network security concepts

- Experience with Snort or Sourcefire Intrusion Detection Systems

- Assessment/evaluation of security weaknesses, vulnerabilities and remediation.

- Experience with offensive and defensive tools; e.g. Nessus, Nmap, Netcat

- Knowledge of various forms of encryption and hashing technologies.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a security position.

- CISSP NOT required.


Desired Skills:

- Operating System Hardening

- Experience with Nessus

- Experience with HIDS

- Experience with Two Factor Authentication Systems

- Scripting/Programming experience; Shell, Perl, Python

- Knowledge of SSL/TLS and IPSEC is an advantage.
