An Avaya Product team is looking for a Software Security Engineer. The security engineer must have a thorough understanding of the technical architecture to recommend and implement security controls and provide hands-on project consulting on security issues and design. Conduct security risk analysis of technology projects. Participate as needed in documenting software security standards, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Responsible for the Certificate management,Authentication; Authorization and Access Control; Sensitive data, Session Management; Cryptography; Parameter Manipulation; Auditing & Logging modules of the product
In this role, candidate will be expected to have Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
Candidate will be responsible for defining security architecture requirements
Candidate will be responsible for defining and developing security architecture solutions
Present security architecture design alternatives for significant project issues to the Technical Team Lead.
Researching and assessing potential items of risk and opportunities of security vulnerabilities (Web Applications, Database, Network)
Participate in technology selections and implementations that impact security
Qualifications/ Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Extensive hands-on experience on designing, developing and recommending integrated software security solutions for Certificate management, Authentication, Authorization and Access Control, Logging and Auditing. Previous experience within a software product centric environment is desired.
6+ years of experience of security technologies
In-depth knowledge of JEE and JBOSS Security
In-depth knowledge of access management software (OpenSSO, preferably) and other 3rd party authentication providers (SAML, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos)
In-depth experience of SSL certificate management and certificate authority (EJBCA, preferably)
In-depth experience of cryptography and encryption
Strong communications skills, both written and oral
Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
Technical Knowledge: Windows ,Linux, JBOSS , JAVA, EJB/ J2EE,AES and DES encryption, Certificate Authority, Digital Certificates, SAML,RADIUS,LDAP, Kerberos ,SSO, SSL, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS and web security architecture, PostgreSQL
