Candidate Responsibilities
The Senior software designer is responsible for creating new functionality as well maintaining existing functionality for the MR system focusing on the Windows 7/Windows XP embedded system integration. This includes a variety of activities:
• Specifying, designing and creating a dedicated operating system configuration (Windows XP/7) and deployment environment (WinPE).
• Specifying, designing and creating and maintaining the OS configuration settings (e.g. user profiles, network settings, security settings, etc...)
• Specifying, designing and maintaining the automated system installation (unattended OS and system installations, full application DVD installation procedure, headless reconstructor reinstallation).
• Integration with the application software, e.g. providing services and environment for the Host SW and MR subsystems(reconstructor and acquisition system)
• Co-operating with the Computer HW group.
• Support/knowledgeable in system performance measurement and analysis of behavioral of applications.
• Development: deliver basic operating system and os customizations (mrwin) for physical and virtual machines.
• Technical contact person for Microsoft.
• Functional cluster owner BOS.
The senior software designer takes part in all aspects of the project phases: requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing.
Candidate Profile
The Senior Software Designer needs to have knowledge of:
• Windows XP/7 Embedded operating systems architecture and concepts.
• Networking (TCP/IP).
• Windows and network security concepts.
• Object oriented design methodology.
• C/C++ programming and experience.
• C# and .NET technologies.
• Expert in windows scripting languages (cmd, vbs) and others, like perl and ruby.
• System Performance
On the personal level , needs to:
• have good communication skills.
• be a team player.
• be a quick learner, to be able to work in different areas of the MR system.
• fluently master the English language, written and verbal.
