Security Product Owner
at Rapid7 in Los Angeles, CA

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Product Management, the Product Owner is a key member of the product management team working with one or more engineering teams. The Product Owner works closely with Product Managers and engineering to translate market and product requirements documents into well-defined user stories. In addition, the Product Owner prioritizes tradeoffs, clarifies requirements, and accepts user stories as complete throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain product backlog(s)
• Interface with key stakeholders, including end users, engineering, marketing, product management, support, and sales, to develop and refine product requirements
• Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories as part of the full SDLC
• Work with engineering to continuously improve product ownership processes
Required skills and experience
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong technical background (B.S. or higher in computer science preferred)
• Experience in interfacing with customers, whether in a support, sales, marketing, or other engineering role
• Experience in security and/or vulnerability management
• 3+ years experience in working in an agile development environment
Not required, but strong plus
• Experience in enterprise IT
• Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner
